FAQS

What is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a state of complete relaxation where the conscious and sub-conscious come together and work in harmony. In this state the mind is more susceptible to suggestion.

What is Hypnotherapy? A Hypnotherapist will use the hypnotised state to help an individual by using suggestion work or analysis.

Can I be hypnotised? As long as you can allow yourself to relax, then you are half way there, you would also need to have faith in the hypnotherapist for it to work for you.

Is hypnosis safe? Hypnosis is very safe, it is a deep form of relaxation which you can bring yourself out of at any time. There has never been a case on record where someone has been stuck in hypnosis

Is hypnotherapy like stage hypnosis? Stage hypnosis is for entertainment where as hypnotherapy is not performed on the stage, it is done in a clinical environment. Hypnotherapists are bound by a code of ethics which does not allow them to use hypnotherapy for entertainment.

How many sessions will I need? That would depend on what you are presenting with. For instance if you wanted to stop smoking it would be a single 2 hour session and something like biting your nails you would probably need between 1-3 sessions where as if you wanted to deal with a phobia that is taking over your life then it would be between 6-12 sessions.
