About Me
I worked in the National Health Service for a number
of years before leaving to train at The Essex Institute
of Clinical Hypnosis under the supervision of Terrence Watts, a very
experienced and renowned name in the field of clinical hypnotherapy.
The reason I became a qualified hypnotherapist was
because of my own experience of anxiety. Some time ago my partner and I
decided to take time out and go travelling for 3 months to Hong Kong,
Australia and the USA. However, this posed a problem. I had panic attacks
with any plane journey over 4 hours and, to make matters worse, I was
also petrified of snakes! To get to these countries I was going to have
to take a number of long haul flights and there could be a possibility of
bumping into a snake along the way.
My anxieties threatened to ruin this trip of a
life time. Apart from cancelling the holiday there was
only one option, I had to conquer my fears. It was at this point that I
sought the help of a hypnotherapist. After 6 sessions of
therapy I no longer had a fear of snakes or flying - I was
cured! I had a wonderful time on my travels and even skydived out of a
tiny plane in Australia! I was so impressed with the therapy I'd
received, that upon my return I decided to train as a Clinical
Hypnotherapist.
It's proved to be the best decision I've ever made.
Now I too can help others to overcome their fears and improve their
lives.
